Is it better to let kids be unsupervised?

Please read this article from Science Daily about how unsupervised kids are
healthier than other kids:

20 points for a well thought-out opinion of five sentences on this topic....

No, I personally don't that it is better for a child to be unsupervised. Children should not be unsupervised because they are most likely to get into things they wouldn't normally get into if they were supervised. Yes they might be more socialable but to much socializing can cause children to do dumb things just because they know they have freedom.

I think kids should be supervised because sometimes they might not know what they might get there there self into. Then there are kids who don't care about anything. Even if they know they are wrong so that's why you should keep a eye on them just incase.

i think there should be a trust factor dealing with your kids. of course if your child is about 7 and down they should be supervised but if they are 8 and above thye should know what to do and what not to do.
