Do your teachers know what they are doing?

Please read this article from Science Daily about poorly performing math teachers:

What do you think? 20 points for a well thought-out opinion of five sentences on this topic....

Now a days you don't know if the teacher is doing there job or the students isn't doing there job based on test scores. Many of the teachers i've had during my high school experience does know what they doing and some just didn't.It depends on the size of the classroom and the way they teach where as though everyone would understand. Getting respect from the students play a major role in teaching also.
