Objectives:
After this class, students will be able to:
1. use metacognition and reflection to analyze computer literacy skills.
2. manage their time to complete multiple projects.
3. utilize a wiki to create an advice column and a profile.
Agenda:
1. Warm-Up: Please post your answer to this question in the COMMENTS section below: Describe your experience so far using laptops in class. Do you love it, hate, it, feel indifferent, or something else? What do you want to learn how to do on the computer before you leave OHS next month?
2. For the next two or three days (depends on your speed at completing these assignments), we will complete, and submit for a grade, the three technology projects that we began last week.
a. Complete the timeline assignment we began on Friday. If you have not started this assignment, click here, and then click on the timeline attachment at the bottom of the page. When your timeline is complete, please email it to me at ms.kingsbury@verizon.net as an attachment. You will receive 100 points for this assignment. Make sure to include at least one event for each month as well as images which enhance your commentary.
b. Post your "Letter to the Class of 2013" on this site here. This is another wiki site which you will need to join, then create your own page where you will post your letter. Be sure that the letter is grammatically correct, proper spelling and punctuation, and contains vivid details and images. You will receive 100 points for this assignments also. OR! If you wrote a letter to OHS as if it were a person, email that assignment to me at ms.kingsbury@verizon.net.
c. Complete your online yearbook page which you started here. Your page should contain two images of yourself, who you hang with, your activities, your memories, your OHS top 10, and your class commentary. You will receive 100 points for this assignment as well. Make sure your name is NOT on your profile; this is for legal reasons. I will know it's your page by your picture.
DO NOT DO ANYTHING BUT WHAT IS ASSIGNED ABOVE. IF YOU ARE SEEN STRAYING ONTO UNAPPROVED SITES, THAT WILL BE THE END OF YOUR COMPUTER USE TODAY.

i like it better using laptops. now i don't need any paper.
Using the laptops are a little different and new but i feel it is a learning experience in its self.
i think it is easier using laptops because a lot of teens today are very fond of using computers, and you really do not have to worry about being prepared for class.
i love using the laptops because we dont have to write and its so easy and i dont want to learn nothing because its the almost may and i ready to get out of here
Using laptops are better for the class because not only are we more interested, but we're learning new things. I also think we get more work done. So I guess i'm in the middle of loving it and liking it.
The laptops make the work obsolete and easy and is a better. They Make the work more fun and just the fact to use laptops also make it better.

Using the lab tops in the classroom is pretty good for me. Me personally, I like using computers. I feel like if we were using the computers from the beinning of the year, I would of had alot more work done.
I think its much easier and better using the laptops. I think its better because its much less work and it been more people participating and doing more work!
My experience with using the laptops so far have been okay.I actually love working on the laptops because we do different assignments that allow us to be creative and have fun. Before I leave OHS next month I would like to learn just a little bit more about computers.
I really like using the computers because its helping me improve my typing skills. Also you don't have to worry about buying paper.

working with the laptops have been fun i like it a lot, i have learn a lot of new thing. i would love to learn how to make my own web page.
I love using the laptops because its more easy then writing things down and also u don't waste paper and ink. And I know somethings about a computer so really when I leave OHS I will know more about using the computer.
using the laptops is ok i guess, its better than just writing all day in the class. there's really nothing i really want to learn on the computer before i leave ohs i pretty much know all there is to know
I like using laptops in class. its a fun experience and it prepares you for classes similar to this in college.

I love using the laptops, i wish i could have used them all year, my senior project have have been completed earlier.
I think that usin the laptops is a good experince it kinda makes me feel like m in college.
I like using the laptops, because it saves time and energy as far as tring to get out paper and pens and trying to ask around for paper and pens with the lap tops you are all settled and plus you are well organized.
I LOVE USING THE LAPTOPS. ITS BETTER THAN USING PAPER AND ALWAYS ASKING PEOPLE IF THEY A PEN FOR ME TOUSE. AND ALSO ITS BETTER LEARNING FOR US
