Objectives:
After this class, students will be able to:
1. reflect on personal experiences.
2. analyze and interpret literature.
3. create a modern day version of very old literature.
Agenda:
1. Warm-up: In their notebooks, students should answer the following question: Reflect on your week. What happened? Any tests? Anything on TV? Anything exciting? Write 1/2 page.
2. Reading from the Canterbury Tales - Read "The Knight" on page 122. On page 143, please answer #5 in which you are asked to analyze the inner nature of this character.
3. Pimp My Canterbury Tales: Students will create a MySpace for one of the following characters in the story: Squire, Yeoman, Monk, Lawyer, Cook, Doctor, or Franklin. This can be done as a poster or in their notebooks. 30 points - more for funnier!
Homework: Students should finish typing their career goals essays and email them to ms.kingsbury@verizon.net.
